As you may be aware, the Methodist Chapel has, unfortunately, decided to close and the church will be offered for sale towards the end of 2024. We are keen to ensure the future of the village shop and would love to purchase the property and maintain it as a community asset.
We believe we could be successful in achieving grants to purchase the property which would give us an opportunity to create an exciting new venue in the village. It could provide space for many options but, to be successful, it would need to provide what villagers want to use without competing with the excellent facilities in the Parish Hall.
With assistance from the Parish Council, we have sent out a questionnaire to every household in Cheriton Fitzpaine and its surroundings.
